You, Me, and the Kids (The Preteen Years) on DVD
Each DVD in this series presents four or five programs that focus on an important youth issue. A drama within each program will keep the viewers' attention while interviews and group discussions with young people, educators, counselors, and parents will offer balanced information. Life Skills:
- First Job: First jobs are rites of passage and a foreshadowing of what will be expected of teens in the adult world. When Chloe's heavy work schedule jeopardizes school and friends, Emily is asked to help.
- Giving Back: In today's consumerist world, how do we teach teens to be community minded and not think only of themselves? Emily is surprised to find that a wealthy friend has a different kind of agenda.
- Wheels: How do parents handle the precarious moment when they hand over the car keys to their teenage kids? Chloe is frustrated as Sam has a hard time letting her take her first drive alone.
- Money Management: Teens must learn the ups and downs of making, keeping and spending money. Chloe struggles to make money.
