This 4 part series provides beautiful yet realistic portrayals of life in distant countries for elementary students. In each 14 minute program, a Canadian student’s pen pal (Thailand, Nepal, India or the Philippines) shares the details of daily life there. Visits to schools, homes, playgrounds, market places etc. on boats, scooters, bicycles and of course by foot offer an honest and personal tour. The overall respect for culture, personal heritage and family is the foundation for these visually rich and detailed programs that open the doors to other worlds for Canadian students. |
