  2. Coral Reefs: One of the niftiest environments on the planet is the tropical coral reef. In this episode John explores the living reef and various invertebrate creatures that are related to corals as well as the odd sea turtle.
  3. Tide Pool Life: One of the richest environments in Canada is found in the rocky tide pools on the west end of Vancouver Island. Explore Botanical Beach at the lowest tides of the year when the creatures are easiest to see: fish, crabs, sea slugs, star fish - classic tide pool creatures.
  4. Winter Under Ice and Snow: John Acorn searches out life in the depths of winter and finds a vibrancy of life - deep under the snow and ice.
