Acorn, the Nature Nut

This disc contains the following 24:00 minute programs:

  1. Spring Has Sprung: Spring migration is the highlight of the year for birdwatchers as birds arrive in their brightest courtship plumage. Many interesting bird watching facts are presented.
  2. Autumn Nature: Why do leaves turn gold before they fall? Why are the birds all storing food for the winter, and how can they possibly recall where they put it? Why do some fish spawn in the autumn when most choose spring? Acorn takes a unique, direct look at the annual unwinding of nature.
  3. Nature in Winter: Winter is a time to catch up on the more subtle details of animals. A trek in the woods and fields with Acorn will connect us to many obscure and secretive critters.
  4. Tracks in the Snow: Intrepid animal tracker John Acorn interprets animal tracks in the snow. We learn how to find, photograph, sketch and cast animal tracks with plaster and foam.
