Anita Byaruhanga is a lively ten year old girl living with her aunt and cousins in a small village on the outskirts of Kampala, Uganda. In Anita's Africa young viewers are led on a fascinating tour of her neighborhood, her school, and the crowded streets of Kampala. The audience is also introduced to the wonderful and exotic animals who make their home not far from Anita's including elephants, giraffes, lions, and zebras. Young viewers will gain an understanding of life as it is for a ten year old in the developing world and come to appreciate the similarities and differences between their lives and Anita's. |
