Program 1: TobaccoIn this episode Jeremy meets with a community addictions program coordinator from the Muskeg Lake Cree Nation and health experts from the Saskatoon Cancer Centre who talk about the abuse of tobacco and the serious health effects it fosters.  Aboriginal people have among the highest rate of tobacco use in the country and this will have serious results to the their communities in the future.

Program  2:  AIDS, a Modern EpedemicWhile tuberculosis may have bee the epidemic of the last century, AIDS has the potential to be the First Nations epidemic of the future.  Jeremy examines the current impact of AIDS on modern communities and meets with advocates the AIDS Saskatoon and All Nations Hope Network of Regina, health nurses from the Saskatoon Health Region Street Health Program and people living with AIDS who discuss prevention through community programs.

Program 3:  Diabetes Part One – The effects of diabetes in the Aboriginal community are devastation, rates are 3 to 5 times higher than the general population.  The complications of diabetes are numerous; kidney malfunction, eyesight impairment, amputations & heart disease are amongst the most serious.  Jeremy visits the Triple F Program in Saskatoon and participates in an exercise program designed for people living with diabetes. He also meets with Evelyn Linklater, a mentor & participant in that program & most of all, an inspiration to stay healthy and active.
