09. The Rise and Fall of the Yukon Lynx (Part II)

Country Available: Canada, USA
In several parts of Canada, the Lynx is considered to be an endangered species. This documentary, a year in the making, follows wildlife biologists studying Lynx in southwest Yukon. Lynx are live-trapped, tagged and radio collared in order to track their movements and determine why, in less than a year, the region’s population can decline from a peak of 115 to a barely traceable number of six. What information can be learned from this study to ensure that Lynx don’t get trapped into extinction in the Yukon?

This is Part II of a two-part series within the larger Yukon: Our Land, Our People series.
