Lawrence, a 5 year old First Nations boy, loves the trapline life in the Yukon but being out in the bush has its drawbacks at Christmas time: every night before he goes to sleep, Lawrence thinks “Everything will be perfect, if only we have Japanese oranges and granny here with us!” This short film, gentle and disarming, provides all children with a glimpse of life in Canada’s North, uncluttered with the commercialism that we have come to accept, especially at Christmas.
