Mars and Martians have inspired scores of science fiction books and B-movies. Recently the debate about life on Mars has heated up again with the discovery of possible fossilized life-forms in a meteorite from the planet. International probes are scheduled to visit Mars this coming year to survey it in greater detail than ever before. Hosts Ken and Eric look at the plans to explore Mars and explain why the red planet was so misunderstood by early astronomers. |
